Thanksgiving Day Gratitude Practice, Donation-Based

November 27th from 9:15-10:15am

w/ Mandy

Show gratitude for yourself and others as you hop on the mat for an all-levels gratitude flow and meditation before the Thanksgiving holiday festivities begin! We'd like to offer one class today in an attempt to help you focus your mind and limber up before a day that sure to be filled with dead-lifting turkey breasts and whipping up fixin's in a warm kitchen complete with good smells and great people. In an expression of our unrelenting gratitude to you, our Salty Dog family, we want to offer a completely donation-based class. We invite you to either take some time alone for yourself or bring the whole family, and we'll meet you there!

Island Montessori School Benefit Class

Saturday, December 20th from 12-1pm

~ Class Type: All-Levels Vinyasa

The Proceeds will go to our local Island Montessori School. Join us in supporting our youngin's and those who work tirelessly to enlighten and nurture them.

Aerial Yoga Workshops
Every Other Sunday from 6:00-7:00pm

Move your practice off the earth with Aerial Yoga! Utilizing silk "nests," we'll use gravity to assist and deepen classic asanas, and even work through hammock-assisted inversions. You'll get plenty of therapeutic stretching and relaxation as well, finishing your practice in a silk cocoon savasana. Workshops vary from week to week, so students can take them as frequently as they like to explore new ways to play with their practice. Space is very limited, so be sure to enroll in advance. Price is $15. Registration closes at 4pm on the day of the workshop.

Please note our Cancellation Policy for workshops requires 24 hours of notice in order to change your reservation or request a refund. Should the studio need to cancel a workshop, however, a date change or refund will most certainly be offered.

**Those who tend to experience motion/sea sickness may want to take anti-motion sickness medicine or garlic pills half an hour before this class.

YOGA for the PLANET Teacher Training ~ 200 HR ~ RYS

Yoga for the Planet is a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training following the Yoga Alliance guidelines, with an emphasis on self awareness both on and off the mat. Learn how to confidently create and lead a well balanced yoga class around a basic posture list using Sanskrit and gentle adjustments. Comparing Classical vs Tantric yoga theory, we will study the history of yoga, its evolution to the West and how it has evolved over time, eastern vs western anatomy and physiology, and theory and practice. Becca's approach to yoga is unintimidating, heartfelt and playful, her teaching style is influenced by Anusara traditions with a very grounding heart opening approach focusing on alignment both on and off the mat. After a few years of teaching yoga , she wanted to deepen her knowledge and ability to help people find freedom in their bodies so  she enrolled in Massage school in 2011.  Wanting to take her teaching one step further, In 2014 she started Yoga for the planet, a 200 hour Yoga Alliance registered teacher training focusing on cultivating self awareness.
