BARRE, T'AI CHI & PILATES CLASSES
We now offer Barre, T'ai Chi & Pilates weekly classes.
SALTY BARRE BLISS CLASS
Our Salty Barre Bliss classes are a combination of ballet, yoga, strength training, and Pilates. This is a strong class that incorporates plank work, small hand weights, plies and lunges.
With plenty of isometric strength exercises and high repetitions of small movements, we will build lean muscle definition with grace and a few muscle shakes. A length cool down and stretching will follow. Class will end with a yoga flair and our personal favorite, savasana!
Who doesn't love a good potluck? A little blend of everything for body, mind & spirit! Balance your energy through a series of exercises that deepen your concentration, build your endurance, challenge your core strength and increase your flexibility. This class will use elements from Pilates, strength training and play with a variety of core work. We even have a little savasana at the end of this class because, well, we think everything is better with a savasana!
PILATES POWER MIX
Balance your energy through a series of powerful exercises that deepen your concentration, build your endurance, challenge your core strength and increase your flexibility. This class will use elements from Pilates, strength training and play with a variety of core work. Weights will be incorporated to cultivate strength.
T'AI CHI/QIGONG CLASS
Tai Chi is a centuries-old Chinese form of classical dance for health and self-defense. This art is characterized by rounded, continuous, and balanced movements directed by a calm, yet concentrated mind.
The movements embody alternating action (yang) and relaxation (yin) causing a continuous cycle of energy (qi) flowing out to the extremities and back to the center (tan t’ien) of the body.
Daily practice of Tai Chi improves muscle tone, increases body awareness and joint flexibility, balances energy and metabolism, improves posture and breathing, relaxes the body, calms the mind, and sends healing energy to the internal organs.
